This study focuses on a series of works created by the author during graduate studies (2020–2024), including Next Today(2022), In Those Days (2023), and At the End of the Day (2025). These works originate from the author's deep awareness of everyday life, shaped through prolonged immersion, resulting in a distinctive experience of daily existence. Drawing inspiration primarily from domestic settings, the series reconstructs and responds to the spatial and temporal environments of everyday life by altering and transforming ordinary objects. Rather than conveying profound philosophical messages, these works emphasize both the ordinariness and uniqueness of daily life.
This study aims to explore the role and significance of everyday life within personal experiences. Through literature review and analysis, it seeks to contextualize and examine the importance of everyday life in contemporary settings. The thesis is structured into five chapters: Chapter One introduces the research motivation, objectives, scope, and methodology; Chapter Two connects everyday objects with discussions on "culture," "art," and "daily life," exploring the aestheticization of everyday objects in art; Chapter Three delves into the conceptual foundations and techniques employed in the works; Chapter Four examines the exhibition as a unit of analysis, offering detailed discussions on the content and presentation of the works; finally, Chapter Five synthesizes the findings, providing conclusions and reflections on the study.
By investigating the relationship between everyday life and artistic creation, this research seeks to uncover the aesthetic significance and personal emotions embedded within the works. Such an approach offers a broader understanding of the connection between daily life and artistic practice, providing new perspectives on the meaning of personal creation within contemporary socio-cultural contexts.
