新竹因為豐富的歷史背景與多樣的文化融合，因此呈現出多元的民俗風情，而街道與建築則是由當地居民歷經時代的變遷而逐步建構而成。筆者透過對生活環境的覺知，觀察新竹市舊城區的獨特之處，在創作過程中運用舊城區街景特色與視覺經驗的轉譯進行首飾創作。並提出下列三點具體創作目的：（一）探討街道美學並分析新竹街景型態構成，（二）探討鑲嵌工藝與視覺轉譯結合的可能性，（三）創作出金屬工藝與街道景象結合的首飾。在學理基礎中以「街道美學」作為主要研究核心，並分析舊城區的文化脈絡與街道意象，並透過「視覺經驗」轉譯影像並釐清首飾創作的流程。在「日本金屬鑲嵌工藝的發展」中探討金屬鑲嵌的歷史背景與種類。本次創作以「竹巷輪廓」創作三組系列作品，總計15件，最終以「巷弄的街屋系列」、「時間的容器系列」、「城市的容貌系列」製作當代首飾，重新組合與建構新竹舊城區的街道景色，呈現給觀者，期望引起情感的共鳴。

Hsinchu boasts a rich historical background and a diverse blend of cultures, resulting in a rich array of folk traditions. Its streets and architecture were gradually built by residents over time, reflecting changes through different historical periods. By observing her living environment, the author examines the distinctive characteristics of Historical Urban Area of Hsinchu City. In the creative process, elements from the historical urban area’s streetscape and personal visual experiences are translated into jewelry design. This project sets out three main creative goals:(1) To explore the aesthetics of streets and analyze the structure of Hsinchu’s Street patterns;(2) To investigate the possibilities of combining inlay techniques with visual translation;(3) To create jewelry that integrates metalcraft with urban street imagery. The research is based on the concept of "street aesthetics," focusing on the cultural context and visual identity of the old town. Through visual experience, the author translates street imagery and clarifies the process of jewelry creation. In addition, the development and types of Japanese metal inlay techniques are studied as part of the technical background. This project, titled "Contours of Hsinchu Alleys," includes three series of contemporary jewelry, comprising a total of 15 pieces: "Street Houses of the Alleys," "Containers of Time," and "Faces of the City." These works reconstruct and reinterpret the street scenes of Hsinchu City's historical urban area, aiming to create an emotional connection with the viewer.
