  • 本文以張郅忻為研究對象,她在近年出版了多部散文及小說,如《我家是聯合國》、《我的肚腹裡有一片海洋》、《孩子的我》、《憶曲心聲》、兒少小說《館中鼠》,長篇小說「客途」三部曲:《織》、《海市》、《山鏡》、《秀梅》等,然而學界目前對於其作品的討論並不多,稍顯可惜。從張氏的作品中可見她欲討論及關懷的面向,對於家族、女性及新移民的議題最為關切。張描寫的家族並非典型台灣單一族群的建構,而是由不同身份的家族成員融匯而成,其中有客家人、原住民、從越南遠嫁到台灣的女性,呈現了多元文化的交匯。
    本研究將以「家族書寫」的角度切入,聚焦於長篇小說「客途」三部曲:《織》、《海市》、《山鏡》以及《秀梅》為主要研究文本,從三個面向進行討論:一、空間與移動,在張的作品中是很重要的部分,在小說中都能看到不同角色因為不同的目的而移動到其他的國家或城市,從中探尋到不同的生活空間及地景文化。二、張作為女性亦非常關注女性相關議題,從側面描寫家族的女性長輩、以及觀察在台越南女性的處境、新世代嘗試出走的女性、原住民母系社會下的女性,從這些不同的面向帶出了家庭中女性的位置和形象?三、從上述兩個研究面向中,可看見張郅忻筆下書寫多元文化組成的家族,進而使筆者去思考,其中關於飲食、客家文化、原住民之間的文化碰撞,對於家族的記憶與認同又從何體現?非典型性的家族,無血緣關係的家人關係又是如何展開情感連結?
    因此本文希望從以上思考面向,切入研究張郅忻的作品,試圖為其梳理在台灣文學上的定位,以及為台灣文學的書寫呈現更多元和豐富的面向。


    This study focuses on Chang Chih-Hsin, a writer who has published several essays and novels such as "My Family is the United Nations," "There is an Ocean in My Belly," "The Child in Me," "Echoes of Memories," and a children's novel: "The Mouse in the Museum". She has also published the "Hakka Guest Journey" trilogy: "Weaving," "Ocean City," and "Mountain Mirror.” She published her newest novel “Xiu Mei” in 2024.
    Unfortunately, there has been limited discussion in academic literature on her work; this study will supplement the discussion on her literary creations. Chang's writing depicts families with diverse cultural backgrounds, including Hakka people, indigenous people, and women from Southeast Asia. The focus of her writing on these people addresses issues related to family, women, and new immigrants.
    This thesis examines a selection of Chang Chih-Hsin's novels: "Weaving," "Ocean City," "Mountain Mirror’ and “Xiumei” by looking at it through the lens of family narrative. The discussion will be conducted from three main perspectives: First, space and movement play a significant role in Chang’s works. The novels depict characters relocating to different countries or cities for various reasons. They explore new living spaces and cultural landscapes, which this study will aim to deconstruct and examine.
    Second, as a female writer, Chang is naturally connected to feminist issues. Through indirect portrayals of female elders within families, observations of Vietnamese women living in Taiwan, depictions of women from younger generations attempting to break away from traditional roles, and representations of women in Indigenous societies, Chang’s writing articulates the complex positions and images that women hold within the family structure.
    Third, based to complement the perspectives mentioned above, this thesis further investigates how Chang Chih-Hsin's fiction constructs families composed of multiple cultural identities. Through the depictions of food in the novels, Hakka culture, and cultural interactions with Indigenous peoples, the narratives reveal how family memory and identity are shaped. In addition, the novels invite reflection on different types of hyper-familial relations, such as emotional bonds formed between non-blood related individuals, and how these relationships can become connections comparable to those of the family.
    The aim of this thesis is to understand Chang Chih-Hsin's position within the Taiwanese literature landscape and highlight the great diversity in her writing.
