本研究延續 Fong (2024) 的工作，利用重新整理之資料集，重新檢視程式碼適應性與程式碼活動之間的關係。同時，透過引入語意化版本控制（Semantic Versioning）作為創新衡量的代理指標，區分程式碼創新與程式碼活動這兩個概念。研究結果再次證實，程式碼適應性對程式碼活動具有負向影響，並進一步發現，程式碼適應性與程式碼創新之間存在正向關係。本研究對學術界與實務界皆具啟發意義。對研究人員而言，結果突顯軟體開發中「創新」的重要性，並提出一套可行的方法來進行量化。對實務工作者而言，研究結果強調，程式碼品質不僅是技術層面的議題，更是一項策略性的資產。

This study extends the work of Fong (2024) by re-examining the relationship between code adaptability and code activity using a newly curated dataset. It also distinguishes between code innovation and code activity by incorporating Semantic Versioning as a proxy for measuring innovation. The findings reaffirm the negative impact of code adaptability on code activity and reveal a positive relationship between code adaptability and code innovation. The study offers implications for both academia and industry. For researchers, it underscores the importance of innovation in software development and introduces a practical method for quantifying it. For practitioners, the results highlight that code quality is not merely a technical consideration but a strategic asset.
