  • This study explores and extends the development of the concept of consumption knowledge in the first and we think consumption knowledge owns the capability of productivity, like production knowledge. In the micro level we probe the contribution of consumption knowledge to wages on the Mincer equation of labor economics by modifying Mincer equation into that personal wages are determined by not only production knowledge but also consumption knowledge. We successfully testify that personal consumption knowledge can improve personal wages significantly, and further testify the personal consumption knowledge owned by an employee of high-level position, such as: a manager, a chief and a director, or owned by a worker engaged in relationship or communication can improve personal wages significantly greatly.
