過去,臺灣以「代工王國」聞名世界,不論是成衣、傢俱、民生用品、工具機、3C產品等。然而,當臺灣失去人力低廉的優勢時,有的企業為了追求更低廉的生產成本出走;有的靠著提升研發能力與提供更全面的服務走向專業代工之路;有的則利用其既有的經驗和技術與長時間下所培養的人脈,嘗試經營自有品牌,並推向海外、全球市場。
電子製造業在多年前算是進入門檻較高的產業,雖然主要的技術來自於國外,但臺灣仍以獨步全球的製程管理技能做出了成績。不過隨著科技的演進,資訊變得越來越透明,當先進者無法持續創新和營造出自己的特色時,新進者將不斷地增加並試圖取代其市場地位,整個市場也可能漸漸紅海化,並進入到毛三到四的低利潤競爭模式。
故如何將代工技術精進、突破、做出差異化,同時搭配長期累積的製造和設計經驗與相關資源的整併,進而擴大業務所涵蓋的範圍,設法有效地轉型、加值,是現今大多數代工企業須思考與邁進的方向。
本研究以上櫃電池製造業S公司為例,透過相關文獻的探討,以質性研究方法為基礎,描繪出該公司的商業模式藍圖以及五力分析模型,再對現況進行解析並且提出建議對策,以提升S公司競爭優勢及企業價值。
In the past, Taiwan was known around the world as the "OEM Kingdom", products including apparel, furniture, household goods, machine tools, 3C and so forth.
However, when Taiwan lose the advantage of low cost manpower, some companies moved their bases to aboard in pursuit of lower operating costs; some relied on improving R&D capabilities and providing more comprehensive services to the path of professional contract manufacturing; others used their existing experience and technology as well as the network cultivated over a long period of time, trying to build their own brands and promote to overseas and global markets.
The electronics manufacturing industry was considered to be an industry with a high barrier to entry many years ago. Although the key technology came from abroad, Taiwan still made achievements with unique skills of process management.
But with the evolution of technology, information has become more and more transparent. When those first movers stop innovation and creation, there will be more and more new entrants trying to take over their market position. The entire market may gradually turn into “Red Ocean” and low profit competition in the end.
Therefore, most enterprises should think about how to make improvement, breakthrough and differentiation on own technique. Move forward with business transformation, expanding and increase its coverage and value through the accumulated experiences and resources integration.
This research takes an OTC battery manufacturer – S Company as an example. Depicting its blueprint of business model and five-forces model by relevant literatures and qualitative research method. Then analyzing current situation and proposing countermeasures to enhance S Company's competitive advantage and corporation value.
