There are two parts in this research. One is to describe the evolution of the industry networking in HSIP. In this study it describes how the new industry network grows to become the main stream and to generate another new industry. The research is separated three industry networks and the semi-conductor industry play the role to pass on. The second part research is micro perspective. The primary purpose of the second study is to explore how the industrial network affects the innovation ability of firms. In this study, survey data collected during 1993-2002 was utilized to investigate how industry network affected innovation outputs of High-Tech firms in Hsinchu Science-based Park in Taiwan. Multiple-regression and Tobit regression model were used to analyze the data. The study finds that international, intra-regional networks and connections with Research Institution are significantly positively related to innovation outputs.
