Currently every company in the world is facing a difficult situation where they must learn to adapt to the wave of change brought in by the acute respiratory syndrome know as COVID-19. This study focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Honduras’ Construction sector. A qualitative study method was utilized where a literature review was initially performed, which allowed to develop a questionnaire for conducting interviews. This helped obtain the challenges, strategies, opportunities of the construction sector of the country. For the challenges, a halt or slow work speed were reported as main concern. The adoption of safety measures, biosecurity, remote jobs, and outsourcing were listed as mitigation strategies. Government funded and technology projects are the opportunities brought forth. The findings in this study can serve to guide companies and government officials in Latin American countries to understand the challenges of the pandemic and enhance worker safety.
