本文以「賦名策略」為方,以洪世章教授為師,以ODM網通廠為例,並運用賦名策略所揭櫫之工具 (「邏輯論證」 、 「問題建構」、 「議題設定」 、 「藍圖」 、 「比喻」 、 「說故事」等 ),回溯分析重塑該企業組織變革之時,其創新策略「PM 大三角」的形成。
「PM 大三角」的美麗在於將策略化繁文為簡圖。以三角形的三個頂點勾勒出Product Manager 的完整面向,分別是Product Map、Product Management、以及 Product Marketing; 同時,以三角形的三個邊標示出三個面向 (頂點) 彼此之間的協同運作關係。「PM 大三角」作為策略,其層次表現在:短程目標完成,規劃及修正組織運作的架構及職能;中程任務達成,透過變革提升及發揮變革組織的價值;長程願景則是透過組織變革充實接班梯隊。 「PM 大三角」策略是創新的,它以「組織設計」及「人才養成」為觀點提供了另一種視角探討 ODM 代工價值的提升。 「PM 大三角」也是一種架構。該架構的延展性體現於「P」本身的置換彈性。「P」可以是Product (產品),也可以是 Project (專案)、或是Program (計畫)。近年來,Platform (平台) 商業模式盛行, 「PM 大三角」架構邏輯甚至更可以進一步延展到科技與社會的跨界整合議題。
本文以「賦名策略」為方,以「PM 大三角」企業個案為引,也實證了「賦名策略」運用在策略創新上,乃是一執簡馭繁的實用方略。
To re-visit and to re-shape the Innovation Strategy “The Big PM Triangle” , which ever been executed by an ODM Networking company for her strategic organization change, professor Shih-Chang Hung’s Framing Strategy and its tactics (Logic Reasoning、Issue Constructing、 Agenda Setting 、 Road Mapping 、Analogy and Metaphor、Story Telling) are applied to analyze this example case.
The beauty of “The Big PM Triangle” is to express essentials of the Product Manager by illustrating a triangle with Product Map, Product Management, and Product Marketing onto three vertices, plus the edges for indicating their correlations. As a strategy, “The Big PM Triangle” presents its realm in three levels.. (1) To plan and to define the feature of the organization. (2) To create and to develop the value of the organization. (3) To cultivate the talent for the succession team. As an innovation, “The Big PM Triangle” reveals an alternative way to enhance the value of the ODM through the view point of organization design and talent cultivation. Furthermore, “The Big PM Triangle” can also be a kind of Framework. The varied applications of this framework is expressed by the replacement flexibility of “P” itself. “P” can be Product, Project, or Program. Imagining this framework “The Big PM Triangle” evolves to adapting to the “Platform”, which is an emerging business model in recent years.
“The Big PM Triangle” , as an example for business case study, plays a matching role of being to consolidate the Framing Strategy, which is perfectly practical on realizing the strategy innovation.
