本研究開發了一套系統性的創新方法,該方法是對Ove Granstrand地毯式專利擴展與佈局模型的實現。Granstrand的專利部署策略為專利部署提供了戰略指導,但缺乏實現該策略的切實可行方法。除了為地毯式專利擴展與佈局模型提供可行的方法外,本研究還開發了專利強化和擴展方法,從而可以包圍目標專利佈局的專利分布圖。本研究結合了“功能階層操作”,“ CPC分類”和“關聯系統”等三種專利擴展方法,通過分析與目標專利相關的CPC結構和零組部件分解,使用者可以利用相關技術的F-term來找出專利擴展的機會,還可以使用功能階層分析和系統關聯方法的發想找到跨產品擴展的點子,借助可行性和價值分析這些方法可以幫助使用者快速地確定潛在的專利機會和應避免專利雷區,本研究應用之案例包含:血壓計、網球拍等。
這項研究的成果包括:(1)通過CPC分類分析、F-term和關聯系統擴展,提供系統性且可實現的萃智方法來實現專利保護策略並找到新的專利機會。
(2)提出包括三種專利擴展方法的問題解決過程,並幫助使用者構建專利擴展圖以獲得專利部署的整體規劃。
This research developed a set of systematic innovation approaches that is a realization and extension to the Ove Granstrand's blanketing strategy. The Granstrand's patent deployment strategies provided strategic direction for patent deployment but are lack of practically actionable approach to realize the strategies. In addition to providing actionable approach for the blanketing strategy, this research developed patent enhancement and deployment methods, allowing layout of patent maps around a target patent. The research combined three methods of the patent expansion based on “manipulation of functional hierarchy", "CPC classifications" and the "System association methods". By analyzing the CPC structure related to the target patent and the decomposition of parts and components, users can find the relevant F-term file for locating empty slots for patent expansions. Cross-product extension ideas can also be found by using the ideas of functional hierarchy analysis and system association methods. With the aids of feasibility and value analysis, the methods can help users quickly identify potential patent opportunities and existing minefields to avoid. There are some application cases including sphygmomanometer and tennis racket.
The contributions of this research include: (1) Providing systematic and actionable methods to realize patent blanketing strategy and locate new patent opportunities by way of CPC classification analysis, F-term deployment, and System Association. (2) Proposing a problem-solving process that includes three patent expansion methods and helping users to construct a map of patent expansion to gain a holistic view for patent deployment.
