    The development of the internet caused the internet of things (IoT).; however, not many people yet understand the term and what it implies. In order to penetrate new markets and see viability for IoT products, it’s important to learn how it developed and the industries in which they fit in. Therefore, this research paper studies the development of the internet of things and it’s possible ways of entry into Paraguay, focusing on the smart home solutions provided by Taiwanese company Philio Technology Corporation. Moreover, this paper offers 3 entry methods into the Paraguayan market and possible competition to encounter, taking into consideration the presence of a local Paraguayan working in the company. Finally, the aim of this research paper is to provide Philio Technology Corporation sufficient information to enter Paraguay by the end of 2019.
