尺規作圖源自於古希臘，是一門歷史相當久遠的研究領域，但傳統的尺規作圖是利用圓規和直尺來作圖，此篇論文的研究目的則在探討只用圓規而不用直尺的情況下，可以畫出哪些圖形，內容包含一些基本的作圖工具，曲線作圖，費瑪點，正五邊形，正方形和生鏽圓規的作圖．而這些作圖都是在動態幾何軟體Cabri Geometry的實驗操作下所得到的．
