本研究構想源自於能有效利用具高壓氣源之工具或載具,利用微型空心軸渦輪轉子,在高壓氣流通過轉子時,擷取氣流的能量,可藉由渦輪轉子結合永久磁鐵轉動來驅動微型發電機組,而不需作軸功輸出,可應用於各種洩壓裝置或高壓氣體鋼瓶產生電能。
本研究主要設計輸出機械功率大於150瓦之微型氣動發電機之空心軸渦輪轉子,以計算流體力學(CFD)模擬來定量分析及預測微型氣動空心軸渦輪可輸出之機械功率與效率,並進行流場分析,瞭解影響渦輪轉子性能之因素,提出改善方向;完成微型氣動渦輪之機構設計,可進行實驗量測扭力,將實驗量測數據與模擬結果互相比對驗證,完成微型氣動渦輪發電系統之轉子設計與測試研究。
Pressure expansion is required in many process applications, and the excess process energy ends up being dissipated as heat. An Example is the throttling process of compressed air systems. Using a micro air turbine generator that can produce electricity under pressure expansion, the wasted energy can be recovered.
This paper proposes a millimeter-scale air turbine which can be used for electric generation. The air turbine is based on a single-stage axial reaction turbine with a rated rotational speed of 100,000 RPM and a rated mechanical power output of 150 W.
A CFD software (STAR-CCM+) was used to predict the performance of the micro air turbine at different operating conditions. Losses due to skin friction and geometry factor are discussed. The completed rotor assembly of the micro air turbine was tested to measure the performance.
