從18世紀中葉西方工業革命至今，人類的生活隨著科技的進步，越來越舒適與便利，但科技對環境的破壞卻與日倶增。科學家透過發達的傳播媒體，將這些生態、環境問題一一拋出，並提醒人類環境保育的重要。大多數人都跟創作者一樣，冷眼旁觀這世界的改變，只貪圖科技所帶來的便利，卻忽視其為地球生態所帶來的浩劫，而眼睜睜看著地球的環境一天比一天惡化，地球上的物種一個一個的滅絕消失。
創作者藉由陶藝創作方式，將自己看到、思考到的地球生態失衡問題，分析歸納出生態危機系列、化石系列、反思系列等三個系列作品。本創作研究之目的為：一、探討地球動、植物所面臨的生存危機，轉化為創作。二：透過陶藝創作形式，保存現今地球上部分物種形態。三、探討人與自然的關係，轉化為創作。
基於以上創作研究目的，創作者以文獻分析法，結合藝術創作行為之行動研究法作為創作之學理基礎與方法，經過不斷反思與創作歷程實踐過程，逐漸建構出以生態議題為主軸的藝術理念與表現形式。
本創作研究的結論為：一、透過動、植物生存危機作品製作，瞭解地球生態正持續不斷惡化。二、以人造化石方式，保存物種曾在地球上生存過的足跡。三、以萬物平等觀點，重新思考人與自然之相處之道。

Since the middle of the 18th century of the Industrial Revolution till now, the more progress we made in the field of the technology, the more convenient and comfortable our life will be. However the progress of the technology is compromising more and more the Earth we live. The scientists point out these ecological and environmental issues through the mass media and remind us how urgent the environmental protection is. The author behaves as well as the most of us do, who witnesses the transition of the epoch, taking advantage of the Hi-Tech convenience with indifference of the catastrophic damage to the ecosystem brought from this convenience and does nothing about the ecological degradation days after days and the extinguishing species one after another.
Through the creation of the pottery art craft, the author represents three critical issues on the crisis from this ecological disequilibrium into three categories: the ecological crisis, the petrifaction and the introspection. The purposes of this creation are as follows, first off is to turn the life crisis which the animals and the plants have confronted into creation, the second one is to document the appearance of the partial species through the creation of the pottery crafts, the third one is to probe into the relationship between human beings and the nature and turn the relationship into creation.
Based on the purposes mentioned above, the author, in assistance of the documentation analysis and the combination of the theory of the practice on the creation behavior of the art works, through introspection and the creation, forms the art concepts and the presentation.
In conclusion of this research: the first one is to present the ecological degradation through the life crisis of the animals and the plants; the second one is to preserve the trace of the existence of the species with the artificial fossils; the third one is to reconsider the relationship between the human beings and the nature with the viewpoint of the equality of all the beings.
