本研究旨在探討國小中、高年級肥胖男童,經過八週的行為改變策略介入後對身體活動量、運動自我效能與健康體適能的影響。以身體質量指數做為評定標準,共擇取30名志願者為研究參與者(年齡11.2±0.88歲,身高149.2±8.71公分,體重59.5±9.03公斤),隨機分成實驗組、對照組兩組各15名。實驗組介入包括自我監督、代幣增強與運動契約的行為改變策略,而對照組不接受任何實驗處理。實驗組與對照組分別於實驗前、後以電子計步器測量身體活動量,以運動自我效能量表評定運動自我效能,以及檢測身體質量指數、心肺適能、柔軟度與肌肉適能等健康體適能要素。將所得資料以描述統計、相依樣本t考驗與共變數分析等統計方法加以處理分析,顯著水準為α=.05。研究結果顯示經過八週的行為改變策略介入後,實驗組的身體活動量,運動自我效能及健康體適能,與前測比較皆達顯著差異(p<.05);對照組前、後測則未達顯著差異(p>.05)。再以兩組前測為共變項,進行實驗組與控制組後測的身體活動量、運動自我效能與健康體適能共變數分析,結果皆達顯著差異(p<.05)。本研究發現,為期八週的行為改變策略介入,可以有效提高肥胖男童身體活動量、運動自我效能,並改善身體組成、心肺適能、柔軟度與肌肉適能等健康體適能。

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 8-week behavior modification intervention on the physical activity, exercise self-efficacy and health-related physical fitness (including body mass index, cardiorespiratory fitness, flexibility, and muscular endurance) among 3rd-6th grade obese elementary school male students. According to the BMI, thirty voluntary participants were served as subjects(average age 11.2±0.88years, height 149.2±8.71cm, and weight 59.5±9.03kg). The participants were randomly divided into experiment group or control group, and each group had 15 participants. Behavior modification intervention in the experimental group included self-monitoring, token reinforcement and exercise contract. However, no any interventions were taken for the control group. Amount of physical activity, exercise self-efficacy and health-related fitness were evaluated pre- and post-experiment and estimated respectively by pedometers, exercise self-efficacy questionnaire and health-related fitness testing battery. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The significant level was α=.05. The result indicated that after 8-week behavior modification intervention, the amount of physical activity, exercise self-efficacy and health-related physical fitness of the experiment group showed significant difference between pre- and post- experiment (p<.05), but the results of the control group did not (p>.05). Taking the results of the pre-experiment as the covariate, the amount of physical activity, exercise self-efficacy and health-related physical fitness of the two groups all showed significant difference (p<.05) in the post-test through ANCOVA. The conclusion of this study showed that 8-week behavior modification intervention improved the obese boys’ physical activities, exercise self-efficacy, and health-related physical fitness.
