    Abstract

The cosmetics industry faces increasing scrutiny for its environmental impact, particularly concerning unsustainable packaging practices. This study investigates the sustainability trends, challenges, and prospects of eco-friendly packaging within Taiwan's cosmetics industry, using Aromatic Enterprises Co., Ltd. as a case study. A qualitative research method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with key stakeholders including the President, Managing Director, Marketing Director, Account Manager, and Sales Manager of Aromatic Enterprises. The findings highlight significant challenges such as sourcing eco-friendly materials, higher costs, limited consumer awareness, and regulatory compliance. Despite these challenges, Aromatic Enterprises has demonstrated notable progress in adopting sustainable packaging solutions. The conclusions suggest that, while there are considerable obstacles, innovative strategies and leadership in sustainability are crucial for the successful implementation of eco-friendly packaging in the cosmetics industry.
