本實驗於Fe70Pd30鐵磁性形狀記憶合金中添加0.1~1at%的Ag取代部分Pd,利用快速凝固旋淬法製作薄帶試片,探討Fe-Pd合金添加第三元素,對材料的相變化溫度、磁性質、磁伸縮與形狀記憶效應的影響。以及對在先前研究中具有良好特性的FePdAu合金做加工、退火、再結晶處理,以瞭解處理前後試片在微結構與織構上的變化對其特性的影響。
在Fe-Pd合金添加Ag的實驗中發現:添加Ag會改變薄帶試片中之相結構,並在添加量提高後有bct相的出現。添加 0.1at%Ag薄帶試片Af相變化溫度會較無添加Ag之薄帶試片低,而後隨Ag添加量提高1at%,Af相變化溫度提高37度。添加Ag之薄帶試片晶粒尺寸皆較未添加之薄帶試片為小。隨Ag添加量的提高,薄帶試片中產生fct與bct麻田散相,使試片之矯頑磁場與飽和磁化量增加。雖bct相的出現會使磁伸縮值下降,但添加Ag之薄帶試片之磁伸縮值皆較未添加之薄帶試片高。在FePdAg薄帶試片則以Ag0.1薄帶試片雙向記憶回復率最佳,具有bct相的Ag1薄帶試片則完全無形狀記憶效應。所有添加Ag之試片經50次熱循環後皆有bct相的生成導致形狀回復率下降。
FePdAu熱處理實驗中發現經滾壓退火再結晶之薄帶試片可增加其磁伸縮值,其中以Au3-re試片的性質最好。再結晶後之試片形狀記憶效應皆下降甚至無形狀記憶行為。
