在華航退休職聯誼會當理事的這段期間，與70, 80, 甚至90歲以上的老長官們接觸互動，起先只是感動，常常邀約一起聚會，但並沒有想說要整理成論文。
在清華大學科技管理學院研讀EMBA這兩年，修了黎正中教授的『企業倫理』這門課後，教授的鼓勵，我將之龐大的訪問整理出來，因此這篇論文幾乎出自我個人角度的書寫，除了年代、機種參考文獻外，都是目前真人真事的故事，我想藉此感謝我的指導教授黎正中與執行長丘宏昌教授，給我的支持與鼓勵，在清華認識黎正中教授與丘宏昌教授，我想對我的生命具有相當重大的意義，在這裡說，我真的很愛我清華的教授群，是您們給了我再前進企業的力量。
寫這篇論文時期有好幾次想放棄，改寫論文題目為我已熟悉不過的領域，但是最後還是咬緊牙根匯整與打字，承諾教授對我的愛護與支持，至於我的『空姐』聖經，我還是會放在最後一章節，讓想成為空姐、空少的年輕朋友們，知道航空公司人資部選人的真實內幕。
During these four years as a Board Director of China Airlines Alumni Association, I have had many chances to interact with and take care of our senior colleagues who are almost 70,80 or 90 years old. In the beginning, I was touched by their stories about working for China Airlines in the early 1960s. I never thought that I would one day use the data I collected as material for a master’s thesis.
I was deeply impressed by one program titled “ Business Ethics,” taught by Professor Li Chang Chung （黎正中）when I studied EMBA, College of Technology Management in National Tsing - Hua University. Professor Li Chang Chung encouraged me to write my master’s thesis on China Airlines’ Roots and Development. I recount the real stories told by the aged, retired employees of China Airlines. I also researched details of the era and aircraft from Google. I want to thank Professor Li and CEO Professor Chui Hung-Chang both gave me much support. This was a significant time in my life.
Actually. When I started to write this master’s thesis, I wanted to give up many times and change to much easier topic. Because there was so too much data and it was very difficult to reach a conclusion. Finally I decided to finish the thesis. As how to enter the airlines as a flight attendant, is my profession. I will write the final chapter.
