    Abstract
This research studies how a technology-based venture draws upon intellectual capital, resources, social networks, identifying and exploiting opportunities in the process of entrepreneurial activity.
This research adopts case study approach to explore, analyze and compare entrepreneurial process of integrated circuit industry cases. The goal of this research is to construct a model to illustrate the capacity building capabilities of technology-based start-up for identifying innovation opportunity and enhancing knowledge exchange/creation through social network. The model highlights a new venture’s needs to recombine capabilities and knowledge capital according to the opportunities. Therefore, new knowledge capital can regenerate and strengthen competitive advantage.
