進入二十一世紀後，單親家庭的家户數目仍是攀升的趨勢，因而本文探討單親媽媽和其周遭的非正式支援系統的互動情形，與十位單親媽媽藉由的深度訪談的方式，探討單親媽媽和其周遭的非正式支援系統的互動情形，以Nvivo7分析訪談內容，經由雙方的互動用以建構單親女戶長的非正式支援體系。本研究首先將訪談個案分為三種不同性質的非正式支援系統小組，經由Nvivo7的分析結果，在不同的非正式支援系統個案中各自找出其不同的轉捩點，發現其中非正式支援系統中的娘家、親戚、朋友在過渡時期的情緒上扮演著重要的角色，而其他周遭的非正式支援系統如NGO、NPO，尤其是宗教團體都能具有注入新觀念、提供各項支持：精神、物質、技巧學習的功能，甚至於經由團體中成員的共同學習進而轉化過渡時期負面的情緒。
因此本研究建議單親媽媽們除了可善加利用轉捩點之外，還可藉由：
一、成立更為完整的單親家庭子女照顧、養護機制。
二、建構詳盡和普及的資訊。
三、型塑正確的宣導方針。
四、單親媽媽間建立互惠機制的社群。
五、運用地緣上的緊密的關係，讓正式體系與非正式支援體系確實有效的聯結。
基於此，並運用社會群居的、社交的能力，再加上自主、自治力，各自激發自己和家人們堅強“勇敢”的力量，那麼單親媽媽們就能順利復原，並對未來有合理堅強的期望。

In the 21st century, the single parent family is still an increasing trend. The single female parent family is a more serious problem. This paper reports findings from a study on single female parent interaction with informal support systems in social surroundings and neighborhoods. This study involved ten cases of single mothers divided into three groups that belong to the informal support system. After conducting in-depth interviews and using Nvivo7 research software to analyze interview content, this study developed the following criteria to alleviate the difficulties single female parent families typically endure.
First, establish a more complete single-parent family mechanism to look after and protect children. Second, related information must be detailed. Third, guidance policy must be exact. Fourth, develop single-parent mutual-help clubs among single mothers. Finally, combine formal and informal support systems effectively.
According to this study, single mothers could use local social resources, the ability of social intercourse, independence, autonomous power, and generate inner strength to manage adversity bravely. Therefore, single mothers could recover smoothly, and have reasonably positive expectations of the future.
