工業科技的進步,導致環境遭受嚴重的汙染,其中經由不完全燃燒所產生的多環芳香烴化合物(PAHs),因著它穩定不易分解的特性以及部分具有致癌性、致基因突變性,使得 PAHs被視為重要的汙染物; PAHs在環境中濃度的監測,常使用人工空氣採樣,但有需要人力以及儀器設備等缺點,因此想用低成本、節省人力的植物來作監測;本研究選用十分常見的榕樹作為採樣對象,探討榕樹葉及榕樹氣根中 PAHs濃度隨不同月份的改變,進而了解植物吸附 PAHs的特性。
本研究選用位於學府路上的新竹中學停車場作為採樣點,採樣時間為民國95年5月至民國96年3月,採集榕樹與榕樹氣根,經前處理後,使用超音波萃取,再以高效能液相層析儀/螢光偵檢器,針對美國環保署公告優先列管之16種 PAHs化合物做分析。
研究結果發現,隨著季節變化,榕樹葉中ΣPAHs =0.0260~0.205μg/g,榕樹氣根ΣPAHs=0.043~0.288μg/g,而榕樹內濃度的變化(RSD=0.588)較榕樹氣根(RSD=0.855)小,且單位重量的氣根較榕樹葉有更高濃度的PAHs(榕樹葉ΣPAHs=0.075μg/g, 榕樹氣根ΣPAHs=0.134μg/g),推測利用氣根作為空氣中PAHs的濃度採樣器,似乎會比榕樹葉來的更具有參考價值。而在氣態PAHs的偵測上,則因為嫩葉氣孔(46%)開闔比例較老葉(14%)高,似乎以嫩葉較為合適。
