文學轉譯至動畫的過程，觀者容易專注在圖像本身而忽略作者隱藏在作品中不同層次的含義。轉譯的過程實涵納了「語境的變化」和「附加代碼的介入」，因此轉譯後的文本擁有獨特的文化符號，可折射出不同時空背景的人文思想及人格特質，產生出新的獨特文本。
本研究以三個取材自捷克作家法蘭茲・卡夫卡（Franz kafka, 1883-1924）文學作品及作者生平的改編動畫做為分析對象，專注於文字轉譯「圖像」過程呈現的蘊含意義，挖掘文字與動畫間存在的代碼異質性。三個改編動畫分別為日本動畫師山村浩二（Koji Yamamura, 1964-）的《鄉村醫生》、加拿大動畫師卡羅琳・葉（Caroline Leaf, 1946-）的《薩姆沙先生變形記》及波蘭動畫師皮奧特・杜馬拉（Piotr Dumala, 1956-）的《法蘭茲・卡夫卡》。論文以文獻分析法及後經典敘事學理論為基礎，討論改編者與動畫世界觀的構成，分析改編作品與文學作品間的敘事差異，探討隱含在作品中的文化意識，最終以不同符碼的解讀探索作者的隱藏觀點。透過分析發現改編者將其自我思想和存在於人文社會的景觀縮影置至動畫中，在忠於原著精神下，仍保有與卡夫卡不同的敘事觀點，豐富了改編動畫的敘事表現，推進觀者對文化內涵的洞察與反思。此篇論文的觀察，是盼能提供觀者未來在欣賞改編動畫時帶有不同觀看角度的思考。

In the process of translating literature into animation, viewers tend to focus on the image itself and ignore the hidden meaning. The process of translation actually incorpo-rates unique cultural symbols, which can reflect humanistic thoughts and personality traits of different time and space backgrounds.
This research focuses on the implication of the text translation process of images, using three animation adaptations based on the Czech writer Franz Kafka (1883-1924)'s literary works and the author's life as the analysis objects. And explore the code hetero-geneity that exists between text and animation. The three animation adaptations are "The Country Doctor" by Japanese animator Koji Yamamura (1964-), "Mr. Samsa Meta-morphosis" by Canadian animator Caroline Leaf (1946-), and "Franz Kafka" by Polish animator Piotr Dumala (1956-). Based on the literature analysis method and postclassi-cal narratology theory, the thesis discusses the animator and the composition of anima-tion worldview, analyzes the narrative difference between the adapted works and the literary works, explore the cultural awareness implicit in the works, and finally uses the different codes of the interpretation explores the author's hidden views. Through analy-sis, I found that the adaptor has put his own thoughts and humanistic and cultural im-agery into the animation. While loyal to the spirit of the original work, the adaptor still maintains a different narrative perspective from Kafka, which enriches the narrative per-formance, as well as insight and reflection on the cultural connotation. The observation of this thesis is to provide viewers with different perspectives when viewing adapted animations in the future.
