本論文研究是使用光子晶體來調整LED出光光型,為兼顧實際應用的可行性,我們著眼在以簡易的方式來製作能有效提升LED出光效率與增加出光均勻性之光子晶體;為此,我們結合了奈米壓印和電子束微影技術來降低成本且快速製作出具高對稱性之特殊類光子晶體。
本論文從模擬與實驗上去證明特殊類光子晶體的可行性。在模擬方面,我們藉由傳遞散射矩陣,來了解光子晶體結構對LED出光光型影響,包含有:光子晶體填充率對LED出光效率與出光光型的影響;在晶格周期變化上,我們發現出光效率隨著周期改變而改變,並且具有縮放出光光型的效果;在柱、洞圖形轉換的討論上,我們發現其出光光型的互補性;在光子晶體的排列方式對出光光型的影響討論中,我們證明光子晶體的對稱性對LED出光均勻性有極大的影響,對稱性性越高其出光均勻性越好,其結果從理論上預測以多次壓印來製作特殊類光子晶體的高度可行性。
在實驗方面:我們使用微電子束微影製作簡單的正方晶格模具,並結合多次壓印的方法來製作出具高對稱性的類光子晶體。此方法取代昂貴的電子束微影技術來完成類光子晶體的製作,並且可以快速大量製作,其結果證明,我們將可以使用低成本且快速的方法製作出具高對稱性且可有效調整LED出光光型的類光子晶體。
