Heterogeneous wireless networks based on varieties of radio access technologies (RATs) and
standards will coexist in the future. And the heterogeneous wireless networks also have many
issues to investigate. The power saving is the important problem of those. Therefore, we are
interesting in energy ecient of mobile station (MS). Since the MS moves away, it does not
receive power continuously through power source like outlet. Then it should use the limited
power and due to this drawback, power saving and extend the battery life is very important
factor for MS. In this research,we introduce a new heterogeneous paging scheme to reduce
power consumption rstly. The dierent scheme from before that be courageous to change
over the role of MS and BS (base station) in originally WiMAX and Wi- system. Secondly,
the cost is the important factor to system. So, we play the role in the BS and consider the
total cost of power consumption in system by the scheme of this paper is presented. And the
optimal cost problem is attractive no matter in the past even in the near future. We propose
an optimization formulation to nd the optimal cost of update period time. The problem
is related to major issues of trac load and update period time. About this, we analysis
the optimization problem of cost by our proposed cost function in this article. Finally, we
compare the performance with other schemes, and numerical results show the scheme of this
paper is presented can reduce more power consumption rather other schemes.
在多種無線接入技術共存的異質無線網路,未來各種標準勢必共存。異質無
線網路存在著許多問題尚待解決,像節能就是其中一個很重要的問題。因此我們
將目標放在行動裝置的能源效能上。因為行動裝置的移動性,使得它無法隨時隨
地的透過接電的方式接收能源。所以只能使用有限的能源並想辦法解決這個不利
的點,對行動裝置來說,節能和延長電池生命是非常重要的問題。這篇文章首先
介紹一種新的減少功率消耗的異質廣播方式,不同於以往的我們大膽的改變原本
行動裝置跟基地台的角色。第二部分我們討論到系統的成本問題。對此,我們基
於我們提出的方法並且站在基地台的立場上討論整個系統的成本消耗。成本最佳
化的問題也是令人有興趣的問題不管是過去還是未來。我們找出最適合的周期更
新時間透過我們提出的優化公式,這問題主要討論在網路流量和周期更新時間
上。因此在這篇文章中,我們解析整個成本最佳化問題透過我們提出的成本公
式。然後我們將和其他的方法比較效能,且數值結果顯示本篇所提出的方法可以
比其他方式有效的減少功率消耗。
