本研究以數值方法模擬水平加熱平板上方在自然對流情況下之流場特性,且詳細探討穩定過渡性流場(transitional flow)之流場特徵。研究中使用非結構四面體網格建立網格模型,以商用軟體Fluent進行模擬計算,第一部份模擬長寬比很大以致整體可視為二維性流場之長方形水平加熱板,第二部份模擬正方形加熱水平平板,計算結果發現當流體流經平板上方一段臨界距離後,即開始發展出垂直於加熱表面邊緣規則排列的平行條狀過渡性流場,且在平板表面上會形成許多高低溫相間的的條狀溫度分布,本研究進一步評估此現象對水平板之自然對流效能的影響,計算出平板表面溫度分布、過渡性流場開始之臨界Rayleigh數、局部與平均Nusselt數,所得之計算結果均與前人之實驗結果相近。
