This paper aims takes a first step in attempting to implement a trust-oriented mobile money payment system for the Caribbean and solves the current issues with mobile payment systems that use Blockchain. It discusses how we can achieve Business Model Innovation by combining three successful business models in the mobile payments and P2P digital money transfer industry and produce a new business model that adapts with emerging economies. Furthermore, it introduces a mobile app and how we can use the BPMN to design it and identify UX interactions points. In addition, it illustrates the type of IT architecture and software development design to use for a system that will adapt in conjunction with the new business model, while also discussing the type of security that would protect the IT architecture and user’s data. It also demonstrates how we can integrate Blockchain in a modern payment system.
