近來無線通訊網路迅速發展,過去的純語音通訊已經無法滿足現在的需求,而推展至數據通訊。由於傳輸速率的增加及編碼壓縮技術的提升,多媒體無線通訊的時代也即將來臨。本篇論文將先介紹藍芽科技及H.263視訊編碼規格,並規劃我們要使用的通訊協定,成功的開發出使用H.263的編碼方式,在藍芽的無線環境中,傳送即時的動態影像的應用程式。
為求能快速的實現我們的想法,我們使用個人電腦及視窗作業系統作為我們的開發平台,並使用一般市售的USB攝影機作為我們視訊的來源。在成功的測試之後,我們也將討論多媒體通訊在藍芽科技上未來可發展的方向。
Wireless communication has become a hot subject in recent years. Due to the increase in bandwidth and coding efficiency, wireless communication used to transmit voice only, can now transmit digital data, and will be able to transmit multimedia data in the near future. This thesis will first introduce Bluetooth technology and H.263 video coding standard. Then, we will discuss the protocols and profile we are going to use. Finally, we have successfully developed an application that can transmit real-time video data on Bluetooth wireless system using H.263 as video coding standard. In order to rapidly develop our application, we use personal computers and Windows™ operation system as our platform. After successfully test our application, we will discuss what future works can be done for multimedia over Bluetooth system.
