里長為臺灣最基層的民選公職人員，在地方自治中扮演重要的角色 。每個里的迭代更換並不是件容易簡單的事，時代變遷往往會使里內的選舉生態產生改變，能選上一個村里的里長，背後伴隨著一定程度的錯綜複雜的因素。本研究採用量化研究法探討桃園市桃園區2006至2022年探究近20年影響里長當選之因素。研究發現無黨籍者更易於里長選舉中出線，並且較高學歷對當選里長有積極影響，以及外部強度中的區域組織及地方組織對當選結果具有較強的正相關性和里長流動率越高越容易在該里當選。此外，本研究中也發現，桃園區基層女性參政比例逐年上升，再來，候選人之背景高度影響當其選里長之機會，以及女性里長在所得較高的里中逐年增加，最後人口老化成長快速的里別中女性里長比例顯著增加。女性參政特別是在里長選舉中，比例均有明顯提升，顯示出社會對女性領導的認可和支持。

The village chief is the most grassroots elected public official in Taiwan and plays an important role in local self-government. The iterative replacement of each village chief is not an easy task, as changes over time often alter the electoral landscape within the village. The election of a village chief involves a complex set of factors. This study uses quantitative research methods to explore the factors influencing the election of village chiefs in Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City, from 2006 to 2022. The study found that non-party candidates are more likely to stand out in village chief elections, higher education levels have a positive impact on being elected as a village chief, and external factors such as regional and local organizations are strongly positively correlated with election results. Additionally, higher turnover rates of village chiefs increase the likelihood of being elected in that village. Moreover, the study also discovered that the proportion of grassroots female participation in politics in Taoyuan District has been increasing year by year. The background of candidates significantly influences their chances of being elected as village chiefs. Furthermore, the number of female village chiefs in higher-income villages is increasing annually, and the proportion of female village chiefs is significantly rising in villages with rapidly aging populations. Female participation in politics, especially in village chief elections, has shown a noticeable increase, indicating societal recognition and support for female leadership.
