隨著雷射冷卻技術的發展,透過光結合法或費許巴赫共振法可來產生極冷分子KRb。而要產生極冷分子KRb必須先同時可以產生K和Rb的磁光陷阱(Magneto-Optical Trap,MOT)。另外,為了簡化雷射系統,我們構思了一套半導體雷射製造出實驗上所需要766.7nm的雷射光源以取代原先實驗室利用鈦-藍寶石雷射(Ti: Sapphire laser)來產生出K磁光陷阱的舊實驗架設, Rb的半導體雷射系統已經架設完成,而我的主要工作就是把K和Rb的半導體雷射系統結合並且配合注入雷射放大器以解決雷射功率不足的問題好完成整個統稱為MOPA的雷射系統 (Master– Oscillator Power Amplifier),並且對此系統做完整系統性的分析。
