This study delves into the dynamics of the oligopoly market structure, particularly examining how state-owned enterprises contend with private firms. Given the challenges faced by some state-owned enterprises in competing with private counterparts, this research focuses on the Thailand Telecommunication Industry as a case study. While various aspects influence the competitiveness between state-owned and private enterprises, this study focus on employee incentives due to their pivotal role in company productivity and success. Specifically, incentives such as base salary and welfare benefits are categorized into two groups: monetary and non-monetary incentives. Furthermore, recognizing engineers as essential to the telecommunications industry, this study compares engineer incentives across different companies and proposes potential strategies tailored to state-owned enterprises.
