地球上的能源（例如：燃煤、石油、天然氣….等等），並非取之不竭、用之不盡。理論上總會有消耗完畢的一天。歷史上常常會因為能源問題影響到民生經濟，甚至影響世界和平。在這個石油與天然氣等天然資源有限的時代，能源問題總是造成嚴重的經濟問題（例如1973年的石油危機、1979年的兩伊戰爭後的能源危機）。當能源危機發生時，常常會影響當年度的經濟成長率。很明顯地，能源問題與經濟問題之間的關係實在非常密切。相較之下，太陽能是一種比較充足的能源，可持續使用。
雖然太陽能電池產業是相當有未來發展性之明星產業，但是卻常常受到國際能源情勢、政府政策、以及市場變化，而影響到太陽能產業的經營策略，因此台灣太陽能業者常常必須修正經營策略。
本論文研究將針對太陽能製造商近年來面臨的國際競爭環境以及未來的短期經營策略做個案研究，希望也可提供給對於台灣太陽能產業有興趣者參考。

Energy on Earth is not inexhaustible, for example: coal, oil, natural gas...etc.
In theory there is always a day are consumed. In the history, energy issues affect the people's livelihood and the economy, and even affect world peace. In modern, oil and gas natural resources are very limited, energy problems are always caused serious economic problems. (such as oil crisis in 1973, and energy crisis after the Iran-Iraq war in 1979.) When the energy crisis happened, it often affects the economic growth rate in that year. Obviously, the relationship between energy and economic issues is really very close. By contrast, solar energy is a more adequate energy, it can be sustainable used.
While the solar cell industry is quite the star industry of the future development,
it is often by the international energy situation, government policy, as well as changes in the market, and the impact the business strategy on the solar industry. So Taiwan solar industries often must be modified their business strategies.
This thesis will do case studies for solar manufacturers in recent years, facing international competition as well as future business strategy. I hope also can provide for Taiwan's solar industry who are interested in the reference.
