傳統的對焦鏡頭藉由改變光學元件的相對位置進行對焦,其中的關鍵元件是移動光學元件的微型馬達。在手機鏡頭的微小空間限制下,並且要求高畫質又具備變焦功能,採用微型馬達的對焦技術,要達到有限空間的鏡頭設計與低耗能的要求有其困難度。
不同於傳統的對焦技術,本論文採用本實驗室已發展的介電式液態透鏡,利用施加電場改變曲率進行調焦對焦,模擬出系統總體積小於1.0cm3 、 f/3.3、 FOV 60.0°、對焦範圍從無窮遠處到10.0cm,並且可用於兩百萬畫素CMOS影像感測器的液態透鏡對焦鏡頭。本論文亦探討了液態透鏡因為具有可調曲率、厚度的能力,因此能進行系統效能補償。
