近年來，全球經常遭受極端氣候影響，顯示出地球的生態環境持續惡化。永續發展的理念在各國政府和企業中越來越流行，特別是在各國政府提出淨零碳排放目標之後。因此，無論大小企業，都需要根據環境、社會和公司治理（Environmental, Social, and Governanc簡稱ESG）指標來調整其營運和發展策略。本研究針對造紙業以往都被認為是高耗能的產業，運用個案分析的方式，了解造紙業再如今ESG的大環境下是如何能源轉型、節能減碳，並透過創新六策分析來了解造紙業如何從企業社會責任(Corporate Social Responsibility以下簡稱CSR)到ESG並持續發展。

In recent years, the world has frequently suffered from the impact of extreme weather, indicating the continued deterioration of the Earth’s ecological environment. The concept of sustainable development is becoming increasingly popular among governments and businesses around the world, especially after countries have set net-zero carbon emission targets. As a result, businesses of all sizes need to adjust their operations and development strategies based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) indicators. This study focuses on the paper industry, which has traditionally been considered a high-energy-consuming industry, and uses a case study approach to understand how the paper industry can transition to renewable energy, reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and continue to develop through innovative six-sigma analysis from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to ESG.
