摘要
利用美國國家海洋暨大氣總署(NOAA)所提供之夜晚燈光資料做研究的論文日益增加,運用夜晚燈光資料客觀且可以深入至小範圍的優勢做研究,應用範圍廣泛包括:GDP的估計、所得收入分配估計、健康指標估計…等,本文也藉由這個想法對台灣進一步的做研究。首先探討台灣經濟指標與夜晚燈光資料之間的關係,統計結果發現夜晚燈光資料與基本所得及消費支出之間存在顯著正相關,能夠良好的解釋這兩個經濟指標,然而未來如果要將燈光資料用於估計經濟指標上則要考慮將台灣分成兩部分─“縣”及“市”等級的都市來做估計會更精確;接著,本文將台灣社會指標資料也列入討論範圍因為社會發展影響的層面相當大,包含經濟也會受到社會發展的影響所以找出燈光資料與社會指標之間的關係或許對於未來有相當大的幫助,統計結果發現燈光資料與社會指標資料之間也存在顯著正相關,可以用於未來估計的空間很大;本文最後一部分是將燈光資料所套疊出來的台灣地圖以及數據直接觀察及分析台灣區域發展的情形,包括:各縣市燈光分佈不均的狀況、燈光擴散情形討論發展趨勢以及鄰近縣市發展的相關程度,希望用燈光資料討論區域發展對於未來政府或是相關研究人員都能夠提供一定的幫助在制定政策或是改進現況方面。
