本研究自2004年3月至2005年9月，在香山溼地採集成蟹及大眼幼體，並以粒線體DNA（mtDNA）的COI核酸序列當作分子遺傳標記，分別對成蟹及大眼幼體進行定序。經比對成蟹及大眼幼體定序結果，總共鑑定出6科22種的大眼幼體，其分別為1).梭子蟹科（Portunidae）：遠海梭子蟹(Portunus pelagicus)、環紋蟳(Charybdis annulata)、刺手短槳蟹(Thalamita spinimana)；2)扇蟹科（Xanthidae）：肉球皺蟹(Leptodius sanguineus)；3)和尚蟹科（Mictyridae）：短指和尚蟹(Mictyris brevidactylus)；4)沙蟹科（Ocypodidae）：斯氏沙蟹(Ocypode stimpsoni)、弧邊招潮(Uca arcuata)、北方呼喚招潮(Uca vocans borealis)、清白招潮(Uca lactea lactea)、長趾股窗蟹(Scopimera longidactyla)、雙扇股窗蟹(Scopimera bitympana)、萬歲大眼蟹(Macrophthalmus banzai)；5)方蟹科（Grapsidae）：方形大額蟹(Metopograpsus thukuhar) 、平背蜞(Gaetice depressus)、台灣厚蟹(Helice formosensis)、似方厚蟹(Helice subquadrata)、秀麗長方蟹(Metaplax elegans) 、褶痕擬相手蟹(Parasesarma plicatum )、斑點擬相手蟹(Parasesarma pictum)、雙齒近相手蟹(Perisesarma bidens)、紅螯螳臂蟹(Chiromantes haematocheir)；6)地蟹科（Gecarcinidae）：毛足圓盤蟹(Discoplax hirtipes)。文中除了對這22種大眼幼體之外部形態特徵加以描述並描繪外，並建立了各科、屬之重要特徵及檢索表。
此外，經本研究的採集，總計目前香山地區的蟹類紀錄已經達到54種，新增了皺紋團扇蟹（Ozius rugulosus）、司氏酋婦蟹（Eriphia sebana）、中華豆蟹（Pinnotheres sinensis）、海陽豆蟹（Pinnotheres haiyangensis）、和似方厚蟹（Helice subquadrata）5種。已建立COI核酸序列的成蟹有10科41種。大眼幼體除了鑑定出的22種以外，還有16種已定序完成的未知種，顯示香山蟹類幼苗的多樣性，日後如能再定序出更多的成蟹，應可比對出更多種類的大眼幼體。

From March 2004 to September 2005, adult crabs and their megalopae were collected from the Hsiang-Shan wetland. I use mtDNA COI sequence as genetic marker to identify different species of megalopae. According to the sequence alignment, I have 22 species of megalopae belong to 6 families. There are 1) Portunidae：Portunus pelagicus, Charybdis annulata, Thalamita spinimana; 2) Xanthidae：Leptodius sanguineus; 3) Mictyridae：Mictyris brevidactylus; 4) Ocypodidae：Ocypode stimpsoni, Uca arcuata, Uca vocans borealis, Uca lactea lactea, Scopimera longidactyla, Scopimera bitympana, Macrophthalmus banzai; 5) Grapsidae： Metopograpsus thukuhar, Gaetice depressus, Helice formosensis, Helice subquadrata, Metaplax elegans, Parasesarma plicatum, Parasesarma pictum, Perisesarma bidens, Chiromantes haematocheir; 6) Gecarcinidae：Discoplax hirtipes. For the 22 species of megaplopae, I established a diagnostic key for each species and detail illustrations of morphological characters were given.
In addition, after my studies the crab records of Hsiang-Shan wetland are 54 species, Ozius rugulosus, Eriphia sebana, Pinnotheres sinensis, Pinnotheres haiyangensis, and Helice subquadrata are new records. For the crab fauna of 54 species, I established mtDNA COI nucleotide sequences of 41 species belong to 10 families. For the megalopae identification by mtDNA sequence, excluded 22 knowing species, 16 species were unidentified due to lack of adult sequence comparison. More crabs collects in the future will get more mtDNA sequence data, and more megalopae will be identified.
