隨著科技社會的蓬勃發展，個人電腦的使用率也隨之大增；而對於個人電腦的使用，一般人最常遇到的問題就是對於作業環境的不熟悉。
這篇論文我們設計了智慧型電腦作業環境代理人機制，來幫助電腦使用者，特別是對於電腦作業環境不熟悉的使用者，經由此種設計，可以讓使用者以近乎於對人說話的方式下自然語言的指令，透過代理人理解使用者的指令，並判斷出需要做的動作及指令，同時也能代替使用者執行大部份不需要再做決定的動作與指令。因此使用者可以以下“我想找出近三個月內開過的 Word 檔案”，“我想要改變電腦的日期”，“我想要看還沒有看過的信件”之類的自然語言指令來命令代理人處理。我們會說明代理人程式如何接受，分析自然語言指令，並呼叫相對應的程式來做處理，使得電腦使用者得以更容易的使用電腦。
