本研究嘗試探討企業因不了解現行供應鏈作業模式所衍生之諸多問題,故提以一系統化之方法論期以輔助企業進行供應鏈作業模式之分析與設計。本方法論並以1996年供應鏈協會(Supply Chain Council,SCC)所發展之供應鏈作業參考模式(Supply Chain Operations Reference Model,SCOR Model)為基礎,具體論述應用SCOR之方法,同時以一TFT-LCD產業為案例,進行方法論之驗證。
在方法論架構之設計上,共區分為三階段。第一階段「以SCOR為基之供應鏈型態分析(Supply Chain Typology Analysis)」目的在提出一套協助企業瞭解其供應鏈架構與供應鏈作業模式之方法。以兩階段式型態分析手法搭配SCOR Model為企業解析供應鏈現況。第二階段「以SCOR為基之供應鏈績效分析(Supply Chain Performance Analysis)」目的在提出一套協助企業瞭解其供應鏈績效與探討根本問題之方法。主張蒐集現行供應鏈績效之後,找出表現不良的因子,並探討改善契機與延遲理論應用的可行性。第三階段「以SCOR為基之供應鏈作業模式設計(Supply Chain Operations Model Design)」目的在提出一協助企業重新設計其供應鏈架構與供應鏈作業模式之方法。在假設已具有現行與改善之供應鏈作業模式方案情況下,主張企業能透過模擬確認新供應鏈作業模式所提昇之供應鏈績效表現。
本研究於方法論中引用多種技術與分析概念,將此學術上各自獨立探討的相關技術與概念以系統化加以整合。並以此供應鏈分析與設計方法論應用於國內一TFT-LCD製造業者,不但為該業者建構一現行供應鏈作業模式,成為業者未來對內部成員或外部合作夥伴之溝通依據;同時也為該業者找出主要的供應鏈作業之問題點,並提供一應用延遲理論所衍生之改善構想,最後以e-SCOR模擬為工具輔助企業進行供應鏈作業模式設計之評估。
