本研究旨在探討國民小學自然與生活科技領域課程實施之後，學童養動物與種植物學習和科學態度培養的狀況，學童是否因為年齡增長造成科學態度的改變情形，也針對學童在性別、居住環境、學習成就高低與是否有養動物、種植物經驗做深入瞭解，進而探討培養兒童科學態度的相關事宜。本研究採取調查研究法，對苗栗縣境內國小二、四、六年級共1249位學童進行調查研究。綜合本研究的研究結果與發現如下：
一、男生、女生在養動物與種植物整體科學態度、養動物科學態度、種植物科學態度上有顯著差異，且女生比男生有顯著正面的趨向。
二、都市區學童與鄉村區學童在養動物與種植物整體科學態度、養動物科學態度、種植物科學態度上有顯著差異，且都市區學童比鄉村區學童有顯著正面的趨向。
三、不同年級學童在養動物與種植物整體科學態度、養動物科學態度、種植物科學態度上，低年級學童比中、高年級有顯著正面的趨向。
四、不同自然科學業成就學童在養動物與種植物整體科學態度、養動物科學態度、種植物科學態度有顯著差異；自然科學業成就表現愈佳者，愈有顯著正面的趨向。
五、是否具有養動物經驗或種植物經驗在養動物與種植物整體科學態度、養動物科學態度、種植物科學態度上有顯著差異；有養動物與種植物經驗的學童，其養動物與種植物整體科學態度、養動物科學態度、種植物科學態度有顯著正面的趨向。
本研究除針對上述研究結果加以討論之外，並提出在教學上與未來進一步研究的建議。

A study of the elementary school students' scientific attitudes toward the activities of raising animals and planting.
Abstract
The research is about how elementary school children change their scientific attitude toward raising animals and planting after the Science and Living Technology course has gone on . And whether children will change their attitudes in terms of their age, gender, living areas, academic achievement level, and their raising animals and planting experiences. The survey was conducted on Miaoli County on the second, fourth and sixth graders for a total of 1249 samples. No matter focusing on the integrated scientific attitude of Raising animals and planting , or on scientific attitude of planting, and Raising animals, respectively , the results and conclusions are as follows:
Girls have more positive attitude tendency than boys.
Children in urban areas have more positive attitude tendency than children in rural areas.
Children at lower grades have more positive attitude tendency than children at high grades.
Children who have better achievements in science have more positive attitude tendency than others.
Children who have the experience of Raising animals or plants have more positive attitude tendency.
In addition , some suggestions for teaching and further investigation were made .
