本研究所探討的是社工諮商人在生涯上的轉換與其專業發展。社工諮商人是一群過去曾有社會工作學習經歷與經驗，後來轉換到諮商心理的領域，並持續在諮商心理的範疇繼續投入專業助人工作的一群人。社會工作與諮商心理同樣是助人工作，但助人方法與思維各自不同。本研究希望探討社工諮商人對生涯轉換之想法、轉換原因與相關工作經驗，以及雙專業的訓練之下，社工諮商人所能發揮的功能，與其專業學習及發展之經歷。研究採用敘說方式，主題式的深度訪問兩位社工諮商人以蒐集相關資料，透過整體－內容的分析方法，寫成兩個敘說故事，並從中整理與討論社工諮商人之生涯轉換與專業發展意義。
研究結果發現，在社工諮商人的生涯轉換上，其轉換契機點各自不同，並且此一轉換雖然並非原先既定的生涯規劃，卻仍是運用其在社工所學原有能力順利轉換跑道，並從此於諮商心理領域研修。而生涯轉換的緣由則有多重因素，除了社工諮商人性格、個人理想、經驗的牽引之外，還包括社工環境不盡理想，而使得社工諮商人欲離開社會工作的環境，進到同為助人之諮商心理領域。而在社工諮商人的專業發展上，社會工作的學習與經驗對諮商工作具備相當的助力，使社工諮商人在助人工作上具有較多的彈性與對人的理解，但在融合所學的過程當中亦不免因所學與身份認同之未定，而有衝突與搖擺之處。在進到諮商領域後，社工諮商人發現諮商環境亦有困境，但因著自己社工的訓練卻能因而克服此困境之難。此外，社工諮商人也有自己特有的專業發展特色，此亦為累積社工與諮商經驗後所產生。在本研究綜合整理資料後更顯示出社工諮商人在專業生涯發展上有著尋找主體性的特性。綜合言之，社工諮商人的生涯轉換能夠提升工作環境與專業能力及發展的品質，而在此過程中，自我主體性的發展更是一個需要被重視的實踐方向。

What this research explores is the career transition and professional development of the counselors who as a social worker before. The counselors who as a social worker before are people who once had social work learning experience in the past, transformed into the psychology of counseling field later, and have invested in the job of helping people professionally in the psychology of counseling field continuously. Social work and psychology of counseling are both the jobs of helping people, but they are different from the method and the thoughts of help. This research hopes to explore the thoughts of the career transition, the reasons of the transition, and the relevant working experience of the counselors who as a social worker before, and the function they can develop, and their experience of professional learning and development under the pair of specialized training. The research adopts narrative method, interviews two counselors who as a social worker before in depth of the theme type in order to collect relevant data, and by the way of holistic-content analysis, to write as two narrative stories, and to arrange and discuss the meaning of the career transition and professional development of the counselors who as a social worker before.
The result of the research is found that the career transition of the counselors who as a social worker before are different from their transition opportunities. Although the transition was not the original career plan, the counselors who as a social worker before changed their career paths smoothly by their ability of social work, and have studied in the psychology of counseling field. There are multiple reasons of the career transition, except that the personality, personal ideal, and the experience of the counselors who as a social worker before, it is not an ideal environment in the social work, and make the counselors who as a social worker before leave the environment of social work and enter the psychology of the counseling field. In the professional development of the counselors who as a social worker before, the learning and experience of social work are quiet helpful to the counseling work, making them more elastic and understanding people more in the helping work, but because the learning and the identity are not yet sure, there are the conflict and vacillation in the process of merging the courses studied. After entering the counseling field, the counselors who as a social worker before also find a predicament, but they can overcome the predicament by their social work training. In addition, the counselors who as a social worker before have their own special professional development characteristics, and these result from accumulating the experience of social work and counseling. After synthesizing the data, it shows the characteristic of seeking independence in the professional career development of the counselors who as a social worker before. To sum, the career transition of the counselors who as a social worker before can promote the qualities of working environment and professional abilities and development. Along with the process, the development of the self independence is a practicing direction needed to pay attention.
