Corporate Social Responsibility has become a popular term describing an organization’s support towards the well-being of a community, going beyond their required economical and legal responsibilities. There is a considerable amount of academic literature regarding CSR and its development, but the great majority centers on developed countries. The aim of this study is to illustrate the development of CSR in Honduras, along with the factors that have triggered this evolution. Case studies of 5 companies with operations in Honduras are presented to better understand the Honduran context, specifying the drivers of change and the observed stages of CSR in this society.
