磁旋行波放大器為新一代高功率高頻率的微波產生器。本論文利用線性理論(即小訊號理論)探討磁旋管的基本特性。譬如磁旋管裡的不穩定性發生條件、增益與各參數之間的關係及頻寬。第二部分為利用非線性理論所撰寫的模擬程式,來探討在非線性範圍內磁旋行波放大器的基本特性,及討論在塗有分佈耗損段(distribution loss)的磁旋行波放大器與各參數之間的作用。
