半導體產業技術深受摩爾定律驅動而須不斷更新、垂直分工的產業結構使得生態成員相互依賴度漸高與競合關係變動更加快速，動態產業分析的需求衍然而生。商業生態系統（Business Ecosystem）理論仿效生態學，提出除了專注於企業自身競爭優勢發展外，亦須關心整體生態系統變遷、健康程度，以及生態成員角色間之動態互動。此理論雖擁有動態分析特性與跨產業分析之特性，然而既有文獻卻較缺乏分析性架構與具有操作性定義之指標以作為產業實務分析工具，而降低商業生態系統理論的實用性。
本研究提出半導體生態系統動態產業分析架構，針對生命週期階段、健康程度與生態系統策略等構面建構具有可操作性之指標與分析矩陣，進行量化之定位分析。並加入時間維度觀察，以界定生命週期階段發展、衡量生態系統健康程度與動態觀察生態系統策略之歷年變動。新竹科學園區半導體產業實證結果指出，生態系統循環週期由五年縮短為二~三年為單位，變動更加劇烈，近十年除了IC設計產業健康程度呈現微幅的上升外，而IC製造、IC封測產業的健康程度皆呈現逐漸下降的走勢。聯發科、台積電與矽品精密之生態系統策略持續往關鍵者象限移動，旺宏電子與華邦電子則逐漸往利基者象限邁進；聯電與日月光雖皆位於關鍵者象限，但有往左方移動的趨勢。本研究實證成果可提供半導體生態系統成員評估環境變動與作為未來策略調整參考，本研究架構於未來可應用在不同產業並根據不同產業特性對矩陣維度指標分界點作客製化的調整。
