本論文的研究是將主動式放大補償電容技巧應用在無外部補償電容低壓降線性穩壓器上,以減少穩壓器的內部補償電容面積。其中,主動式放大補償電容技巧是根據米勒效應來達成其放大等效電容的效果。本論文所提出的電路架構是在第一級放大器的輸出端加上一個緩衝電路來完成主動式放大補償電容架構,所以不需要改變第一級放大器本身的架構。因為在第一級放大器輸出端多了一個緩衝電路,使得主極點多了一條電流路徑,因此系統頻寬與輸出電壓暫態響應能獲得改善。
本論文提出的無外部電容低壓降線性穩壓器採用TSMC 0.18μm製程來模擬。工作電壓由1.4V到1.8V,可提供1.2V輸出電壓,具備200mV低壓降的特性。最大輸出電流為50mA,最小輸出電流為100μA。線性調節率與負載調節率分別為18 μV/mV與136.27 μV/mA。由模擬結果顯示穩壓器所需要的補償電容值從5 pF減少至2.2 pF,而系統頻寬與暫態響應也獲得改善。
