Animals can provide one of the best education to human.
In addition to telepathy, animals also share emotions, intentions, thoughts, images, and sensory feelings with others by the vocal and body language. I grab all inspirations from the experience of getting along with horses after joining the Equestrian Club, and this wood crafting creation is divided into three series accordingly. This creation is mainly made up of wood-craving, within the purpose of it is to present the spiritual horse to the viewer in the form of art, conveying the spiritual feelings after getting along with large animals. And starting from the author's own experience, building up the relationship between human and horses, the viewer can also feel their innocence and healing power. Based on the above, I searched for related sculptures, as well as the creating method of other artists, so as to expand different perspectives.
The theme of this creation is "The Trotting Through”, literally means a horse runs at its slowest speed, bringing to describe the long-term process of getting along with horses. I take horses as the core of my sculptures, in the hope to show up the imaginations of a field of horses and horse-strolling to expand all kinds types of the woodworks and the applications of mixed-media.
This creation is divided into three series, the first is named ’Manada’, which gives static image of a herd of horses; second is ’Strolling’, mainly composed with recycled-horseshoes; and third is ’Day Dreaming’, which illustrates the dynamic of the light leap of horses. I also use the artistic properties of woods to present uniqueness and distinctiveness of each individual. Within the display of the visual space, I expected to present my mental journey of getting along with horses without language and to resonate with all the viewers.
