In today's business world, in an unprecedented post-epidemic era, leaders need to be open-minded, perceptive, accurate and creative in making decisions to meet the challenges of change. Leadership and decision-making skills are always a concern and a continuous goal for every organization. At the same time, a positive organizational culture is one of the most important factors for business success. A positive organizational culture promotes employee creativity and job satisfaction, and enhances corporate performance and competitiveness. In this context, mindfulness as an emerging management practice is gradually gaining the attention of leaders and organizations. Leading companies such as Google, McKinsey, Apple, Meta, Intel and others have introduced mindfulness programs to help leaders and employees cope with stress and change. mindfulness can help to better manage emotions, improve focus and creativity, and thus influence the organizational culture to improve efficiency and achieve goals.
Therefore, this paper will explore the interrelationship between mindfulness and leadership, and will take a closer look at the differences in perceptions and feelings of leaders who have been exposed to mindfulness to determine if the benefits of mindfulness practices can be used to develop leadership and improve the quality of decision making.
Finally, this paper will offer some practical suggestions for companies and leaders to introduce the appropriateness and impact of mindfulness programs.
