民眾對移民政策態度是受到何種因素所影響？本文比較了勞動市場競爭論與公共資源競爭論的命題，兩派理論雖然命題相似，但就民眾的階級位置、國家的公共支出等因素如何影響移民政策態度做出了不同的假設。
根據2003年與2013年的《國際社會調查計劃》（International Social Survey Programme）國家認同組的樣本與國家層次的環球政經數據，運用多層次迴歸模型的分析發現：階級是影響移民政策態度的關鍵因素，非技術勞工對外來移民的態度較為負面。其次，政府公共支出有利於降低民眾對外來移民的社會距離感。然而，政府支出對非技術勞工與資本家的效果較弱。總之，雖然分析結果與勞動市場競爭論的命題部分符合，但本文的統計結論更支持公共資源競爭論的觀點。

The paper looks at the question of which factors affect the public attitudes toward immigrants. I compare labor market competition model with public sources competition model and examine how their various hypothesis regarding class structure, government expenditure influence the public attitudes toward immigrants.
Using a sampled datasets from the International Social Survey Program conducted in 2003 and 2013, I found (a) class structure is a key factor affected attitudes toward immigrants, and unskilled labor is less accepting of immigrants than the other social class; (b) public expenditure has decreased anti-immigrants sentiment; (c) the effect of public spending on capitalist and the unskilled worker is weaker than other classes. In sum, according to the analysis, the empirical results partly support the labor market competition model, but most statistic outcomes support the perspective of public sources competition model.
