我們利用側照式白色發光二極體作為背光模組的發光源,使用光線追跡模擬軟體TracePro,依據面板尺寸規格的不同,分別針對不同入射位置的小尺寸導光板進行一連串的細部分析與模擬。首先就延伸頂角入射型導光板之間的入光耦合部分討論,研究不同型式的入射表面結構,促使水平輻射角度的擴散長度增加,並且維持一定的線性均勻度;此外,為了提昇均勻度,導光板下表面再輔以圓弧型微鏡面結構陣列的搭配,分別以均一性分佈、線性變化分佈模擬最佳的出光效率及均勻度,使之擁有90%以上的表現。其次,再針對側邊型導光板之間的光源入射結構,將發光二極體由頂角入射設置改用一維陣列方式排列。故我們以導光板的側邊作為入射表面,將半圓柱擴散空腔結構置於非有效出光區域之內,將側照式白色發光二極體的點光源特性轉換成類似於冷陰極燈灯管的線性光源分佈型態,並且維持一定的能量均勻分散,以利於圓弧型微鏡面結構的一維陣列舖設,降低其圓弧型微鏡面陣列設計的複雜度;同樣地,讓圓弧型微鏡面結構陣列的均一性分佈、線性變化分佈形態舖設於導光板下表面,使面板的出光效率和均勻度優化之。
