本研究旨在探討大學生性格類型、生涯自我效能與生涯決定之關係，以全國北、中、南、東地區共744位大一到大四男女（男性246人，女性498人）之公私立大學生為研究對象。採用「華人十六性格類型量表」、「生涯自我效能量表」與「生涯決定量表」為研究工具進行問卷調查，並以單因子多變項變異數分析、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、卡方分析、典型相關與逐步多元迴歸等統計方法進行資料分析。本研究主要發現：
一、不同性別、就讀學院之大學生在性格類型上有顯著差異。
二、不同就讀學院、工讀經驗之大學生在生涯自我效能上有顯著差異。不同就讀學院者在分量表「自我評估」上達顯著，人文社會學院、教育學院優於商學院、管理學院；不同工讀經驗者在分量表「目標選擇」、「自我評估」、「解決問題」、「做出計畫」上達顯著，普遍發現兩年以上工讀經驗者有較佳的生涯自我效能。
三、不同年級、就讀學院與工讀經驗之大學生在生涯決定上有顯著差異。年級方面，大四學生在「雙趨衝突」、「個人衝突」、「外在阻礙」高於其他年級學生；就讀學院方面，整體而言發現人文社會學院、教育學院、藝術學院的大學生比起商學院、管理學院的大學生較無「雙趨衝突」、「個人衝突」與「外在阻礙」之情形。
四、大學生性格類型、生涯自我效能與生涯決定之間有典型相關存在。其中外向型與直覺型之大學生有較佳的生涯自我效能與生涯決定情形；生涯自我效能與生涯決定之間有四組典型相關。
五、性格類型之「感官-直覺」、生涯自我效能之「目標選擇」、「自我評估」可有效預測
生涯決定情形，其解釋力為24.4％。

The purpose of the study was investigated the relationships amomg personality types, career self-efficacy, and career decision-making in college students. The sample consisted of 744 college students (246 males, 498 females) in Taiwan. Instruments used in this study included Chinese Types Indicator, Career Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Career Decision-Making Inventory. Data obtained in this study were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, t-test, one-way MANOVA, χ2, Canonical Correlation Analysis, and Multiple regression analysis. We discover a strong relation among the personality types, career self-efficacy, and career decision-making in college students. From such a result, this paper suggests a more effective system of career counseling, and recommends for a further research on the role of counseling.
