本次研究將會針對光學塑膠材料環烯烴共聚物(Cycloolefin copolymer, COC),探討不同微結構高分子混摻後相容性對光學性質的影響。經由不同觸媒所合成的COC,會擁有不同的微結構與光學性質。因此,藉由不同微結構之COC的混摻,探討降低材料雙折射特性與提升機械韌性的可行性。
我們使用溶劑成膜(solvent casting)與熱混摻(thermal blending)這2種方法做高分子混摻。微結構的差異與冰片烯(norbornene)含量對溶劑成膜的光學性質有顯著的影響。但使用熱混摻時,由於折射率相近和高分子聚集不易,故無論相容與否,膜都擁有一定的光學特性。
The cyclo-olefin copolymers(COC) which synthesized by different metallocene catalyst have different microstructures and optical properties. We made blendings with two COCs which had different microstucture or norbornene content by solvent casting or thermal blending. The phase separation behavior and optical haze property are distinct in solvent blending of the different microstrure and NB content COCs. On the other hand, the thermal blending ones make less difference because of the similar refractive indexs and the samller size of the disperse phase.
