The question of whether the world we perceive is truly real or merely a simulated virtual reality has been a topic of ongoing debate among philosophers and scientists, with no definitive conclusion. Despite most people being content with their current lives, the quest for understanding our origins and purpose persists.
Although the origins of the universe and the purpose of human existence remain unclear, our self-perception profoundly influences our sense of happiness and success. The ultimate goal of pursuing success is to achieve happiness, with effort seen as the bridge between the two. However, the process of striving can often lead to a shift in self-identity, causing one to forget the original pursuit of happiness.
Happiness, though seemingly simple, often feels elusive, prompting adherence to societal norms that equate more effort with success and happiness. Given the importance of these concepts, this study uses a self-designed questionnaire to empirically investigate contemporary views on luck, effort, success, happiness, reality, and virtuality. The study aims to confirm the interconnections among these concepts and explores the potential of a commercial platform that integrates virtual and real elements. This platform will collect data to allow AI to statistically evaluate the accuracy of various fortune-telling methods, potentially providing a shortcut to verifying whether our world is virtual.
